Just seen on our local news that a guy caught a 78 or9lb. carp with a bow. I'm not shure where it was, I'll have to go look. It was a Monster.

I went to there web site and didn't find it. Then when I googled it I fouund ones that weighed more. The one I just seen on the news looked bigger. Maybe the local news got the wt. wrong. I'll try lookin some more a little bit later. Did anyone else here about it?

I think that the world record that u r talking about is for angling, not bow fishing.

I don't consider bow fishing really fishing. I mean you only get the full affect and the shaky feeling in your knees when you land the fish with a rod and reel.

I don't consider shooting fish with a bow fishing, it's more hunting. It is a viable way to remove invasives like the Asian carp now invading the Illinois river. These fish are filter feeders and will not hit a bait, which leaves snagging or bowhunting as the only choices. Tom
