At the moment, I own 4, one built in to my sonar, a color handheld for general use, a nav system for the car and an older grayscale Magellan that I would like to sell. Tom Fishin' fool in N.E. Illinois

Sam: Before buying the wife a TomTom (excelent unit) look into the Lowrance XOG(zog). Some of these units will run the Fishing Hot Spots maps on SD or MMC cards. My wife has an older Lowrance i-Way that is compatible with all the software for my LMS 525c-DF and my handheld H2Oc. Tom Fishin' fool in N.E. Illinois

HI, i have an xog, h2o and novi 255w. i use the xog and the h2o with lake master ship, the navioncs chip and the mntrax chip. they work great and the xog is really nice with the ability to use it on the road too. i would look into the garmin 500 series because you can use the chips in those and its got a bigger screen and water proof, plus gamin support . the xog and h2o are no longer made. i have my xog in for repair for 2 months now and they said they have to trplace it which will take another two months.
